At ritual moves, we're thrilled to support you during this incredible journey. Pregnancy is a special time, and staying active can help you feel your best. Pilates is a wonderful way to maintain strength, flexibility, and peace of mind throughout all stages of pregnancy. We're here to ensure you have the best and safest experience possible.

Why Pilates is Great During Pregnancy

  • Strengthens Core Muscles: Pilates focuses on gentle strengthening of the core, which can support your changing body and help alleviate back pain.

  • Improves Posture: As your body adjusts, maintaining good posture is essential. Pilates promotes alignment and balance, helping you stand tall and comfortable.

  • Enhances Flexibility: Gentle stretching exercises increase flexibility, which can ease muscle tension and discomfort.

  • Promotes Relaxation: Focusing on controlled movements and breathing techniques can reduce stress and promote a sense of calm.

Recommended Classes for You

We primarily encourage our pre- and post natal clients to begin with private training before jumping into classes.

We also offer classes suitable for our expectant mothers, with modifications:

  • Slow Flow: A gentle class focusing on mindful movement and breath work.

  • All Level: pregnant clients must have previous Pilates experience to join this class.

  • Afterglow (Austin-only): A nurturing class designed to leave you feeling refreshed and revitalized.

  • Good Moves Mat Class (For Austin Mat Clients): A mat-based class emphasizing gentle strength building and flexibility.

A Note on Class Selection

To ensure your safety and comfort, we please ask that pregnant clients avoid our more intensive classes at this time:

  • Advanced

  • Inner Strength

  • Jumpboard

  • Body High (Austin-only)

If you've already signed up for one of these classes and are currently pregnant, we warmly encourage you to switch to one of our recommended classes above. We're happy to assist you with rescheduling.
