a note from OUr founder

“I created ritual moves as a means to connect not just to our strength, but to our softness too—a space where movement meets intention, and power is found in presence. Here, we honor the balance between effort and ease, between holding on and letting go, reminding ourselves that both strength and softness are essential to feeling whole.

When you let softness be your guide, you learn the strength in yielding, the power in stillness, the wisdom of quiet presence.Softness absorbs, it bends, it moves. It is the tide reshaping the shore.

I hesitate to say it’s not for everyone— because, well, softness IS FOR EVERYONE —, YET softness is a hard place to reach. It requires unlearning, slowing down, and facing yourself without judgment.

In a world that celebrates hardness and speed, choosing softness feels like swimming upstream. But once you get there, it holds you in a way that strength alone never could.”

MORE ABOUT KATI

Ritual Moves was founded in 2017 by Kati Villavicencio, a seasoned Pilates instructor with over 10 years of experience. Kati holds a comprehensive, internationally recognized classical Pilates certification, along with certifications in prenatal Pilates, somatic trauma therapy, somatic internal family systems, and somatic attachment therapy. She is also certified in all Mat, Reformer, and Apparatus (Trapeze Table/Cadillac, Chair, and Barrels) coursework, enabling her to work with a wide range of clients, including those with injuries and special populations.

Driven by a passion for holistic movement and education, Kati developed the Ritual Moves method to guide clients toward a deeper connection with their bodies and a greater understanding of the interplay between emotions, healing, and movement. Her unique approach blends classical Pilates principles with somatic therapies, placing mindfulness and body awareness at its core.

Kati also created her own teacher training program, which focuses on classical Pilates through an embodiment lens. This program empowers trainees to integrate mindful movement practices into their teaching, encouraging curiosity, exploration, and a compassionate approach to movement.

Through the Ritual Moves method, clients learn to recognize and release emotional and physical tension, cultivating not only physical fitness but also emotional resilience and personal growth. By embracing the body-mind connection, Ritual Moves fosters a sense of empowerment and holistic well-being.
